IANTD Nitrox Gas Blender course teaches you to blend nitrox by partial pressure and membrane methods, for mixtures from 21 to 100%.
What do I need to start?
- Must be employed by a dive facility or be Advanced Nitrox certified and have a need to become a Gas Blender.
- Be 18 years of age
What will I do?
The IANTD Nitrox Gas Blender course includes six hours of academics generally taught in two three hour sessions as well as three hours of hands-on gas blending of Nitrox gas mixtures. The IANTD Nitrox Gas Blender trains the student to become competent in mixed gas blending techniques and equipment preparation for use with oxygen. Subjects will include operational concerns, blending standards, gas blending procedures, gas blending theory, system design and oxygen cleaning, labeling and analyzing, Nitrox blending and oxygen cleaning.
The IANTD Nitrox Gas Blender Course limits the blenders not to perform duties other than cylinder cleaning, gas mixing and general preparation of equipment for oxygen use. Blender must be qualified as a technician with the manufacturer of equipment being prepared for oxygen use.
